Marilyn Monroe

The reference picture for this Portrait was taken by Earl Leaf in 1951 as a promotional campaign for the film “As young as you feel”. It depicts Marilyn Monroe with a white cat. The name of the cat can only be speculated on, but according to an old magazine article it was called Pinky.

I used Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran d’Ache Luminance colored pencils on A5 Bristol paper.
